Due to the low headroom these boats have a very large sailing area. Despite the low boat height, the boat still has a headroom of about 1.95

In 2018 the houseboats (then diesel powered) were stripped in terms of interior and engines, the hulls were re-coated etc. and completely new interior was installed with electric motors, batteries, generators etc. As of summer 2019, the boats were commissioned in new condition

In February 2022, all windows of the boats were replaced with Topwindows (still under warranty) due to slight leakage and improved window profiles were installed.

New bow thrusters were installed in the Bolsward and the Stavoren in 2023. New kitchen faucets and shower faucets were installed in all boats in 2023.
